Colombian soccer legend Faustino Asprilla was among four apprehended in a drunk driving incident in the city of Cali, reported daily El Tiempo Friday.

The former striker, known as “the octopus” because of his spaghetti-legged style of play, was apprehended at 3am on Thursday morning, alongside three juveniles. All four were intoxicated and the BMW they were driving did not have proper documentation.

According to Cali Metropolitan Police Commander General Fabio Castañeda, the four claimed they intended to take a taxi once they had found secure parking for the car.

It was not made clear whether Asprilla was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
