Colombian tennis player Santiago Giraldo was eliminated at Wimbledon Monday after losing to Frenchman Richard Gasquet, Caracol Radio reports.
Gasquet, ranked 13th in the world, convincingly defeated Giraldo in straight sets 7-5, 6-3, 7-6, after two hours and three minutes of play.
Meanwhile, Spaniard Rafael Nadal successfully fended off American Michael Russell 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 in less than two hours of play.
