Colombian authorities intercepted a boat carrying 1.3 tons of cocaine on the southern Pacific coast, reported La Hora newspaper Monday.

An army spokesperson said the boat was travelling from the Narino department towards the Ecuadorian border.

It is the second anti-drug operation in the department in the last few days. Last Friday, the Colombian Navy seized 1.1 tons of cocaine from a hidden storage spot in Isla Gallo.

The army said the street value of the cocaine seized in both operations was more than $73 million.
