Colombia News - john leguizamo

Colombian-born actor and singer John Leguizamo was honored at the sixth annual “Made in New York” awards Monday for his contributions to the city’s entertainment industry.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Mayor’s Office of Media Entertainment presented the award to the Bogota-native who is currently starring on Broadway in Ghetto Klown, for which he was described as “intensely talented” and “a preternaturally gifted impressionist” by New York Magazine’s Scott Brown.

The “Made in New York” campaign celebrates the city’s depth of talent and scenic locations by recognizing the thousands of media productions the city churns out each year.
