Colombian tennis player Alejandro Falla’s impressive run to the fourth round of the French Open ends in a five-set defeat to Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela.
Falla, who overcame three qualifying rounds just to reach the main draw, has surprised pundits with his run to the fourth round.
The 27-year-old left-hander will nevertheless be disappointment to lose in five sets after being only two points from victory in a fourth set tie-break.
Chela eventually triumphed 4-6 6-2 1-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 to progress to the quarter finals of the clay-court Rolan Garros tournament.
Falla will be encouraged by his impressive showing at the tournament, having never even reached the third round before in Paris.
