Colombian companies traded most on 3-nation stock exchange in 2011

Colombia’s largest private oil producer Pacific Rubiales and the state-run petroleum company Ecopetrol were the most traded companies in the Integrated Latin American Market, MILA, in 2011.

Chilean and Peruvian investors acquired Pacific Rubiales shares worth $6.27 billion and $3.33 billion in Ecopetrol shares through the stock exchange of Santiago, Bogota and Lima, which began trading on May 30.

The BVC states that the Colombian market received 50% of the direct transactions in the bourse.
