Four Colombian children have emerged as world champions from the tenth annual San Francisco Bay Area International Salsa Congress.

The Colombian youngsters belong to the dance group “Balcon de los Artistas,” based in Medellin in the department of Antioquia.

Lasting from November 17 through 20 the salsa congress featured 45 workshops, classes, and nightly shows from local and international performers.

With a special performance by New York-born Puerto Rican salsa musician Willie Colon, and late-night dance parties lasting until 4AM, the salsa extravaganza was a success for everyone involved.

“A very big thank you to our event staff, our sponsors, all the musicians and salseros from all walks of life for making the 10th annual SF Salsa Congress one of the most memorable ever,” stated the San Francisco Bay Area International Salsa Congress website.
