Colombian actress Sofia Vergara on Thursday launches her first fragrance, ‘Sofia’, which she says emulates her “vibrant personality”.
Vergara, of US sitcom “Modern Family” fame, has featured on dozens of magazine covers, been nominated for multiple awards, and is the highest paid TV actress according to Forbes magazine.
At midnight on April 24th, the TV star joins host Adam Freeman on the Home Shopping Network in the US to promote her debut fragrance, “Sofia by Sofia Vergara.”
“I wanted to show who I am, my ethnic origin and to create a fragrance that truly reflected me,” said the star Modern Family star on her first perfume.
Vergara will be joining TV presenter Adam Freeman in a 24 hour special across all HSN platforms, television, internet and mobile devices to introduce the new fragrance.
“Sofia is a fragrance designed for those who truly enjoy being a woman and want to feel irresistible,” said the actress when describing her “oriental floral” fragrance.
According to the official press release, Vergara had a say in every single detail of the new fragrance – including the scent and the design of the bottle and packaging.
HSN’s Chief Merchandising Officer Anne Martin-Vachon said, “This fragrance truly embodies Sofía’s captivating personality. She is smart, glamorous, sophisticated, sensual and highly accessible to her fans.”
But a scent is not enough for Vergara: She has a rapidly expanding fashion and accessories empire.
In an interview with American pop-culture news site Xfinity, the actress stated that her next venture will be in to her fine jewelry collection. Currently, the Colombian beauty is also the spokesperson for COVERGIRL, Diet Pepsi, and Head and Shoulders.
