The leftwing Colombian political party Polo Democratico Alternativo (PDA) announced Monday that it had selected a new chairman.
Dussan has spoken out against Samuel Moreno, the suspended mayor of Bogota who is being investigated for corruption, and commented that he believes Moreno and his brother should be removed from the party.
Dussan was the party leader previously in 2009, but resigned from his position a year later when the party performed poorly in elections.
The PDA is a Colombian opposition party that currently holds the Mayor’s office in Bogota. It has declared itself in opposition to President Santos and his party.
