A photograph from a Colombian journalist covering the Syrian civil war appeared on the front page of the New York Times on Sunday.
Colombian journalist, Mauricio Morales, who is documenting the war in Syria, managed to snap one particular shot that grabbed the New York Times’ attention.
The chosen image is of the battered neighborhood of Aleppo, where residents propped up a masked and uniformed effigy of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
