Colombia’s immigration agency has deported one of China’s most wanted men from Bogota on charges of fraud.
Zhou Shuangquan has been handed over to Chinese authorities so that he may respond to allegedly robbing around 700 people of $16 million.
Shuangquan allegedly set up several front businesses all around the world and could have been in Colombia to expand the fraud operation. Apparently, Shuangquan was careful to not leave many traces of his work in order to throw off authorities, according to an agency press release.
Following his modus operandi, Shuangquan entered Colombia in January from Peru and apparently came to set up a machine importation store in the city of Manizales, according to an agency press release.
Shuangquan has been handed over to Chinese authorities so that he may respond to the crimes he is accused of.
