Colombia expressed its “solidarity and support to the families of the victims and the survivors” of the earthquake that killed at least 188 people in China on Saturday.
“The government and the people of Colombia express their most sincere condolences to the People’s Republic of China,” read a communication by the foreign ministry.
The message also conveyed “confidence in [China’s] speedy recovery.”
A quake of 6.6 magnitude struck in the Sichuan province on Saturday morning local time. In addition to the deaths, more than 11,500 people were injured.
