Colombia now trails Italy for fifth place, by 28 points.
Despite falling a position in the current stangings, Colombia has undeniably played outstanding soccer over the past year. Since December 2011, the country’s national team has rocketed 31 places up in the rankings.
World champions Spain remain at the top of the heap in first position with 1590 points, followed by Germany and Argentina, respectively.
Brazil for their part ensured that they remained in an uncharacteristic 18th place after the loss to England.
