The Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla will host the 15th annual Catedra Europa (Forum on Europe), an academic, cultural, and social event that celebrates the connections between South America and Europe.
The event will feature over 130 speakers consisting of philosophers, writers, designers, lawyers, businessmen, and European consultants will analyze the Europe’s political, economic, and social transformations in order to facilitate comparisons with Colombian cases and to strengthen bonds of inter-continental cooperation and friendship.
The four-day event will include a wide range of events such as a day devoted to international architecture, planning, and design, a symposium called “Societies with the digital challenge,” and a panel called “Technologies for the improvement of energy efficiency and harnessing renewable energy,” among others.
This year’s special guests will include to representatives from the European Union who will be speaking on March 12 in the Central Colosseum at an event called “The Founders.”
The internationally renowned Forum on Europe first took place in 1997 and has evolved into a culturally and socially influential event that brings together nearly 3,000 participants each year.
