Colombia increases presence at Spanish tourism fair

Colombia has decided to increase its presence at The Global Meetings and Events Exhibition in Barcelona, Spain, lasting from November 29 through December 1.

This year at the international tourism fair, Colombia will have a much larger information stand, of approximately 443 square feet, and the presence of roughly 20 major businesses, according Pro-export, the company in charge of promoting Colombia’s exports and tourism.

Representing Colombia at this years exhibition will be Colombia’s convention bureau representatives, travel organizations, professional conference organizers, and representatives from Colombian hotel chains.

Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla, and Cartagena will all be represented and promoted at the Spanish fair.

Representatives of Colombia will also explain the national desire to move forward with their “green strategy” for sustainable tourism development, which respects the natural environment.
