Colombia and Venezuela united to promote bi-national tourism in the first ever Tourism Conference of San Cristobal.
Over 120 tourism officials and entrepreneurs from the neighboring nations met in the Venezuelan city of San Cristobal to discuss plans to increase border tourism and promote closer relations between businesses from the two countries.
In total, 30 Colombian tourism organizations and 90 from Venezuela met for the conference.
“In these conferences the businesses, institutions and organizations met and maintain a permanent contact in the design and direction of tourist packages,” said Santiago Contreras, president of Cotatur.
