Colombia and Turkey resume free trade negotiations

Colombia and Turkey have resumed negotiations in Bogota over a free trade agreement, reported Colombian media Friday.

Delegates from the two countries have now entered a fifth round of talks, with agreement already reached on 10 of 13 points.

Between January and November 2011 Colombia’s trade with Turkey saw exports increase by 175% and imports increase by 133% compared to the same period in 2010.

The current round of negotiations will conclude Friday.
