Bogota salsa band La-33 releases comic-style bio vid

by Marguerite Cawley June 17, 2011

Colombia News - La 33 Comic

La-33 has released a biographical animated video titled “10 years, one decade of salsa,” which documents the birth and growth of Bogota‘s emblematic salsa band.

In a comic-style video of under three minutes in length, the salsa-funk band shows the process of creating and forming the orchestra, the musical influences of the band and the tours it has taken around the world, all put to a montage of the band’s music.

The video is the second of its kind presented by the band, which released an animated version of “Ponlo a Sonar” (Put it to sound) this past March, a song from their most recent album “Ten Cuidado!” (Be careful).

The band also screened a documentary video in March, titled “Breve historia de una idea sabrosa” or “Brief history of a tasty idea,” which gives a vision of the band’s creative process.
