Colombia’s capital city will be hosting the 14th annual Opera al Parque Festival from November 1 through 13.
This year’s Opera al Parque will feature four professional opera performances in addition to nine opera-oriented workshops on 12 different stages throughout the city.
Furthermore, the festival will also be hosting additional academic programing that parallels the art, theater, and music.
There will be workshops on cultural journalism and music critique as well as workshops for opera and operetta singers, with special guests Spanish critic Javier Perez Saenz and Peruvian tenor Luigi Alva.
Organized by the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ministry of Culture, Recreation, and Sports, the yearly event usually draws in thousands of attendees.
Locations offering Opera al Parque activities include the Auditorio Leon de Greiff, Auditorio Fabio Lozano, Auditorio Teresa Cuervo, Auditorio de Compensar, Auditorio de la Gilberto Alzate Avendaño, and various public libraries.
