by Joey O'Gorman August 23, 2012

Sofia Vergara never thought “I could make money and support my family, with being funny,” she tells press.

The Colombian bombshell, who is in the running for an Emmy Award this year, said she is flattered that people still think she is sexy at 40-years old, according to newspaper El Espectador.

The Colombian beauty, named the 75th most powerful woman in the world, has been nominated for the third time for an award for her role as Gloria in the hit U.S. tv-comedy “Modern Family.”

Vergara, who is the highest paid television actress said there are definitely reflections of her personlaity in feisty, fun-loving Gloria.

“There are things that drive me crazy and I get angry but then I turn around and forget,” said the actress who clearly still has traces of the hot-blooded Latin female: “When a new person is working with me, or a new boyfriend, they have to adapt to that first.”
