Colombian Falla powers through to French Open 4th round

Colombian tennis player Alejandro Falla, ranked 120th in the world, continued his impressive run in the French Open to make it to the fourth round Saturday.

The Cali-born player, who had to go through three qualifying rounds just to reach the main draw, defeated Polish Lukasz Kubot 6-7 (7-4) 6-4 7-5 6-4.

The left-hander’s remarkable run, which had already surpassed his previous efforts at the prestigious clay-court Roland Garros tournament, will now be challenged by an all-South American clash against Argentinian Juan Ignacio Chela.
