Electronica lecture series comes to Medellin

A lecture series entitled “Alchemists of Sound” will take listeners on a musical journey though the history of electronica, guided by the director of the Camara F.M. radio station in Medellin, reports Colombian events website Plan B.

Javier Rodriguez will be offering a free weekly presentation throughout February on the history of electronic music, from its humble roots to the synthesized beats that characterize the popular dance music of today.

“The Art of Noise,” “German Electronica,” “Techno and New Romantic,” and “The New Electronica” are the titles of the themes to be explored each Tuesday at 6:30PM at the Centro Colombo Americano.
