Jamaican rapper Shaggy, famous for songs like “Angel” and “It Wasn’t Me,” on Friday returned to Colombia’s capital Bogota after 10 years. The renowned dance hall star returned to Bogota to a packed audience to debut new songs, a new look, and share his traditional reggae sound with Colombia.

Shaggy is currently touring across the world in order to promote his latest album, “Out of Many, One Music” which is scheduled to be released September 24. This album, as is usual with Shaggy’s albums since the Jamaican artist primarily raps, includes special guests and producers such as Ne-Yo, Damian “JR Gong” Marley, and Beres Hammond.
The rapper’s new album will feature the topics, love and women, the latter of which being “the most beautiful thing there is in life, and composing about women is the only thing I can do well,” Shaggy told the press.
The last time that Shaggy came to Bogota in 2003, he sang his most well-known songs “Angel,” “Boombastic,” and “It Wasn’t Me,” and he reprised such songs again much to the audience’s excitement according to local media. Born in Jamaica, Shaggy moved to New York City when he was 18 though he never forgot his island roots.
