In an joint operation, Peruvian and Colombian police forces captured on Wednesday the ringleader of the Colombian neo-paramilitary group “Los Urabeños” in Lima.
Jacinto Nicolas Fuentes, alias “Don Leo,” entered Peru illegally in January, reported newspaper El Espectador.
“Los Urabeños” are a neo-paramilitary and drug trafficking group based in northwestern Colombia.

According to the Colombian Police, Fuentes was one of the men called to assume the control of the criminal after the apprehension of its previous leader last December.
Fuentes has been indicated as the link between “Los Urabeños” and the FARC’s 33rd front.
