President Juan Manuel Santos will meet with Spain next week for the Ibero-american Summit, further strengthening ties between Spain and Colombia.
The summit between President Santos and the King of Spain Juan Carlos and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy will be held in Cadiz, Spain next Friday.
President Santos allegedly sees the Ibero-American Summit as an “opportunity to further strengthen ties with Spain.”
Caracol Radio reported the importance of Spanish-Colombian relations with Spain investing 4.4 million dollars in Colombia with “the creation of over 70,000 direct jobs in Colombia.”
Santos will travel to the Iberian Peninsula on Monday and is scheduled to meet with Portugues Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho when he arrives.
