Colombia’s third largest city Cali will have its first double-decker tourist bus.
The bus, which seats 80 people, will make trips during the morning, afternoon, and evening at a price of approximately $5.50 per person, said the bus owner, Ramiro Jurado.
“The bus will travel the main streets of Cali and will focus on such places as the Municipal Theater, the Cultural Center, the Gold Museum of the Bank of the Republic, the Pascual Guerrero stadium, the Patinodromo, and even the District Aguablanca, so that people can see this great city,” said Jurado according to newspaper El Pais.
The bus is adorned with images emblematic of Colombia’s third largest city. Salsa dancers, the Cali Tower and the statue of Sebastian of Belalcazar cover the new $400,000 tour bus.
“The launch of this new service for tourists and people of Cali is a demonstration of faith in Cali, the city’s optimism and the confidence we have going forward,” said Jurado who pointed out that the new bus service is part of a private initiative supported by the Municipal Administration.
Each tour will last for three hours. For more information, visit the company’s website at www.coomoepal.com or go to the Coomoepal Facebook page.
