Shakira on Monday confirmed rumors that her unborn baby is a boy.
Two weeks after letting it be known that she was five months pregnant, the Colombian superstar told German television network RTL in Barcelona, “yes it’s a boy!”
Shakira gave presenter Wolfram Kons several signed outfits from her tour to auction for the November RTL charity marathon. The singer has participated in the marathon in previous years, but her growing baby bump will stop her from taking part this year, and it may be a while before she could fit into the donated items of clothing again anyway.
Kons presented her with a teddy bear for her baby who Shakira wants to “change the world.”
The singer who is patron of a school in Cartagena on Colombia’s Caribbean coast said she intends her son to follow in her charitable footsteps.
“When the baby is out of my belly, I want him to know he can help change things. He can really make the world better.”
