Colombian soccer star Radamel Falcao, a.k.a. “El Tigre,” continues to suffer from a hamstring injury that could sideline him for a few weeks, Spanish media reported Wednesday.
The Atletico Madrid forward’s recurring injury has owners and coaches worried. According to the newspaper “Marca,” the Spanish club does not want to risk aggravating the injury, and therefore will not permit the player to take the field against Colombian side Huila in an upcoming expedition match in Medellin.
The Colombian began suffering from renewed pain in his hamstrings this Tuesday that forced health officials from the club to recommend a separate training regimen from the rest of the squad.
Atletico medics hope to have El Tigre ready for their opening match against Levante in the Spanish league on August 18th.
