Colombia’s largest rebel group, the FARC, allegedly attacked a police station in the southwestern department of Nariño, report local media Thursday.
According to reports, a package bomb exploded in the municipality of Sandona, damaging 15 houses and injuring one policeman and three civilians, including one 69-year-old woman and her 30-year-old daughter.
The wounded are being treated in a nearby hospital, but given the severity of their injuries, might be transferred to a larger hospital in the department’s capital, Pasto.
For now, local authorities attribute the attack to the FARC, which has a strong presence in the municipality.
