Three civilians and two soldiers have been injured in an alleged FARC petrol bomb attack in the southwest Cauca region, reported local media Friday.
According to the authorities, the FARC’s 8th Front was responsible for the attack, which happened near a bull ring in El Tambo, where a local army brigade was preparing a party for local children.
Municipal government secretary, Oscar David Ordoñez, said the bomb exploded in a residential area and damaged a large number of houses and vehicles.
The injured people were taken to hospital in Popayan.
A similar incident last Tuesday on the outskirts of Timbio, another Cauca municipality, injured a 9-year-old child and an elderly person and damaged around 50 houses.
