Shakira dispelled rumors that she was pregnant by pulling up her shirt for reporters in Germany, celebrity news site Son Famosos reported Tuesday.
The Colombian pop singer, and girlfriend of Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique, traveled to Frankfurt to sign a collaboration agreement with her charity organization Pies Descalzos, which supports schools for underprivileged children in Quibdo and Barranquilla.
While there, reporters began to question the singer about rumors that have been circling the press of her supposed pregnancy. The Barranquilla native apparently responded by laughing and pulling up her shirt to show a flat stomach, quelling the gossip, at least for the time being.
The pregnancy rumors surfaced after Shakira canceled a concert in Almeria, Spain for health reasons, and were furthered by reports that she has put on weight.
Later, those who attended a concert Shakira held in Switzerland criticized the pop singer for arriving late and giving a “low energy” performance.
