Panama’s Vice President Juan Carlos Varela announced today that he will visit Colombia on Thursday to resume negotiations of the countries’ bilateral trade agreement, reported Spanish press agency EFE on Monday.
The agreement was suspended in October 2010 due to disagreements over agricultural issues, market access and customs cooperation.
Other items to be on the agenda include strengthening border security and increasing tourism.
