Colombian air travelers expressed a satisfaction rate of 88.7% in respect to the services provided by six of the country’s major airports in the first five months of 2011, newspaper El Colombiano reported Wednesday.
The results of the survey conducted by Airplan represent an increase in satisfaction of nearly 20% since 2009, when the same survey found that travelers were only 70.9% happy with services.
Travelers expressed the most satisfaction with the boarding terminals and the level of security, while they were least satisfied with services provided by businesses operating within the airports.
Among the airports included in the survey were Medellin‘s Jose Maria Cordova, located just outside the city in Rionegro, and the city’s domestic airport Enrique Olaya Herrera. According to results, in the former case, 86% of travelers were satisfied, while in the latter, 95% were satisfied.
The other airports included in the survey were Los Garzones in Monteria, on the country’s northern coast, El Caraño (Quibdo), Antonio Roldan (Apartado) and Las Brujas (Corozal).
