Three Colombians have been killed in Venezuela in separate incidents occurring within the space of 24 hours, Caracol Radio reported Monday.
Two Colombian traders, Giovanni Hernandez Ortiz and Armando Diaz Rojas, were murdered in their respective places of work, in the western Venezuelan states of Barinas and Tachira.
The third Colombian, Marlon Albeiro Omaña, from Cucuta, was killed during a prison revolt in Santa Ana. The exact circumstances surrounding the young man’s death are unclear.
Investigations in Venezuela are underway, while the families of the victims have requested that the Colombian Foreign Ministry demand its counterpart to ensure that judicial action takes place.
