Colombia Reports- Vibra mi tierra

An annual beer and music festival Vibra Mi Tierra (Vibrate My Land) is coming up in Medellin’s botanical garden.

The event aims to support culture and entrepreneurship in Antioquia and is co-organized by local brewery 3 Cordilleras.

The festival boasts food from the city’s best restaurants, artisanal beer, games for children and live music beginning at noon each day. Fifteen bands are scheduled to play, including Colombia’s popular Monsieur Perine who was featured at this year’s SXSW music festival in Austin, TX. Other acts set to take the stage are Pipe and Sara, Ali Bombo and Puerto Candelaria among others.

The event runs Saturday, May 5 11 AM – 2 AM and Sunday May 6, 11 AM- 8 PM at the Jardin Botanico. Tickets cost $14 (25,000 Colombian Pesos). Admission is free for children under 12.
