The Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music Festival will shake up the Colombian city of Cali for it’s 15th year in a row and will last five nights, from August 24-28.
Starting on Wednesday, the city will come alive with the sounds of clarinets, marimas, cununos, and the dance and motion of flamenco dancers to the delight of all pacific music lovers.
It is an event that unites many of the elements that make up the indigenous culture of the pacific, including its history of the region and culture of food, music, and beauty. This year, the celebrations will take place at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, and promises a wide range of musical artists and events.
The festival is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office, the Ministery of Culture, and the National Program of Cultural Coordination. It will be held in Santiago de Cali, Valle del Cauca.
