Ten Colombians have gone missing in the north of Colombia and are feared to be held by Venezuelan armed forces, Caracol Radio reported Wednesday.
Family members of the disappeared told the radio station that their loved ones disappeared after crossing the Venezuelan border.
“A lady told me that they saw [my husband] when the Venezuelan Army arrested him and took him to the Tigre base. I went there but they didn’t give me any information and like I don’t have documents they threatened to detain me if I continued asking,” one woman told Caracol.
The radio station talked to a second local whose son disappeared under similar circumstances.
Caracol did not consult Venezuelan authorities about the alleged disappearances.
