Former Bogota mayor Antanas Mockus’ announcement to join the Colombian capital’s mayoral race has not upset the advantage of fellow-former Bogota mayor Enrique Peñalosa, the latest CM& poll showed Wednesday.
Peñalosa leads the poll with the support of 24% of the interviewees. Socialist candidate Gustavo Petro follows with 19%. Mockus, who joined the electoral race a week ago, has the support of 13% of the voters.
The CM& poll contradicts a poll published Sunday in newspaper El Tiempo in which Gustavo Petro was leading with 16.4%, followed by Peñalosa (14.7%) and Mockus (14.4%).
Colombia holds local elections on October 30.
