Los Rastrojos hitman boss captured off west Colombian coast

Security forces captured the alleged head of assassins for the drug trafficking organization “Los Rastrojos,” while he was trying to flee to Ecuador via the Pacific Ocean, reported Caracol Radio Friday.

Commander of the national police, General Oscar Naranjo, announced that his institution along with the Colombian Navy captured Hugo Garcia, alias “Chocolate,” in the Pacific Ocean.

According to the police official, Chocolate is wanted for numerous murders in the Antioquia department.

Security forces have dealt a number of recent blows to the structure of Los Rastrojos, including Thursday’s capture of Jorge Ivan Gil Agudelo, alias “Mellizo,” a leader reportedly in charge of drug laboratories and extortion in the western Valle del Cauca department.
