Venezuela to deport 5 crime suspects to Colombia

Venezuelan authorities are planning to deport five alleged criminals to Colombia for their involvement in guerrilla movements, drug trafficking, and gangs, announced Colombia’s chief of police on Tuesday.

Among the criminals is Yesid Rios Suarez, an alleged member of the FARC’s 10th Front, who has been allegedly involved in drug trafficking in Brazil as well as running clandestine airstrips and drug trafficking planes from the department of Vichada, Colombia.

Others include two alleged “Los Rastrojos” drug gang leaders Jorge Reyes, alias “Salomon,” who operated out of Magdalena Medio region in Antioquia and Ruberney Vergara, alias “Maniquemao,” who was linked to criminal activity in the department of Arauca, Colombia. The group also includes two known drug traffickers Didier Jerson Rios and Jorge Alfredo Santaella.
