Green Party leads Bogota mayor election poll

Green Party candidate Enrique Peñalosa was top choice for voters in the Bogota mayoral election, according to an opinion poll conducted by news program CM& and the National Consultancy Center.

Less than two months away from the Bogota mayoral election, interviewees were asked “If the Bogota mayoral election were tomorrow, who would you vote for?”

Peñalosa came first with 22% of respondents choosing him, followed by Socialist candidate Gustavo Petro with 17% and former Bogota mayor and Green Party candidate Antanas Mockus coming in third with 12%.

Eleven percent did not know or did not respond and 4% would not cast a vote for any candidate.
