Centrist candidate Enrique Peñalosa topped a Bogota mayoral poll released Saturday with his main opponents Gustavo Petro and Gina Parody percentage points behind.
According to the poll carried out by Ipsos-Napolean Franco, Peñalosa of the Green Party has the support of 23% of the capital city’s residents.
Socialist Gustavo Petro, leading in other recent polls, followed with 19% and Gina Parody, whose campaign merged with that of former mayor Antanas Mockus, received the support of 15% of the interviewees.
16% of the Bogotanos interviewed by the pollster said they still had not made up their mind about who to vote for.
Local elections in Colombia will be held on October 30.
