3 members of ‘Los Rastrojos’ and ‘Los Urabeños’ captured

Three members of “Los Rastrojos” and “Los Urabeños” have been captured in the departments of Cordoba and Antioquia, among them two heavily armed minors, El Espectador reported Sunday.

In the ongoing Operation “Troya,” the elite combined military offensive, primarily directed in the north of the country, two members of “Los Urabeños” were captured in Puerto Libertador, Cordoba, after sustained fighting.

The two detainees were youths dressed in official clothing of the armed forces and were in possession of a grenade launcher, two rifles and 20 grenades, as well as various ammunition.

Due to their age, the minors were handed over to the relevant Children and Adolescents judge in the city of Monteria on charges of illegal possession of firearms and conspiracy.

In the Antioquian municipality of El Bagre, meanwhile, the armed forces were able to capture alias “El Diablo,” the supposed boss of “Los Rastrojos” for the surrounding area.

He is accused of extortion, murder and drug trafficking and is alleged to have been the fifth-in-command of the whole “Los Rastrojos” criminal structure.
