Twelve drug traffickers arrested: Police

Colombia’s National Police claim they captured twelve drug traffickers
in two operations. Three criminals are sought to be extradited to the
United States.

In the first operation, the Dijin arrested three criminals who are sought to be extradited to the United States. Henry Parra Cifuentes, Andres Avila Padilla and Consuelo Garcia Rivera allegedly smuggled drugs in passenger luggage with false bottoms, El Tiempo reported Monday.

Nine members of another drug trafficking organization were captured in Bogota, Cali and Medellin. They send three to four bags containing five kilos of cocaine to the U.S. each month, mostly to New York and Boston.
