A leader of Colombia’s largest neo-paramilitary drug gang “Los Rastrojos” was captured in Medellin on Thursday, local authorities said.
Local police said to have been working in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to capture Neutiel William Muñoz, alias, “Neo” or “El Brujo,” a key member of the drug trafficking organization.
Muñoz, was allegedly the right-hand man to founder Diego Perez Henao, alias “Diego Rastrojo” a former commander of the Norte del Valle cartel and one of the founder of the neo-paramilitary offspring.

Muñoz was responsible for activities along the Caribbean cost and has been a member of los Paisas until they merged with the Rastrojos.
After the recent arrest of high ranking Rastrojos member, Wilson Caicedo, alias “Gandhi”, Muñoz took over the leading role relating to drug trafficking, production, marketing and shipments in the north of Colombia.

So far this year, the National Police said to have arrested 30 members of the Rastrojos group. Muñoz, who had also been reported under arrest in December, is to be charged with aggravated conspiracy.
