Bogota’s mayor, Gustavo Petro, still had an unfavorable image among Bogota’s citizens, according to the latest Gallup poll released Friday.
According to the poll, only 30% said they approved of Petro’s way of handling the cities problems, while 60% had an unfavorable view of his achievements. Disapproval was particularly high in the areas of “insecurity, mobility and public order,” wrote the internet publication Terra Colombia.
Petro currently has the lowest approval rating out of all the Colombian major city mayors tracked by Gallup, wrote radio station Caracol. For example, Medellin’s mayor Anibal Gaviria had an approval rating of 71% and Cali’s Rodrigo Guerrero enjoyed 53% support as of June.
