Monopoly board game releases Colombia edition

The Colombian version of Monopoly, one of the world’s most popular board games, is ready to be played and features 22 of the most beautiful places in Colombia, reported El Colombiano news.

In the game, each roll of the dice offers the opportunity to pay someone or something, buy an iconic Colombian property, or get sent to jail. The purpose of the game is to collect all the Colombian properties and become a real estate mogul.

Colombians were allowed to vote on the places that they thought the new version of the game should include. Via Internet, 160,000 voted 22 national landmarks to feature in the game.

The Medellin Metro, the Festival of Flores, Guatape and El Peñol are some of the winners from the department of Antioquia. Other epic Colombian sites include Parque Tayrona, Caño Cristales and the Caribbean island of San Andres, which are included as the priciest locations in the board game.

Colombian Monopoly will allow players to become the owners of the capital city of Bogota, Cabo de la Vela, the Cañon del Chicamocha or Villa de Leyva. With the fun that comes along with gallivanting around the board game, the Monopoly makers hope to share the national diversity of Colombia with families, friends, and fans.
