Colombia seizes drug kingpin’s properties

Colombian police and the Prosecutor General’s Office seized 194 properties belonging to drug kingpin, Pedro Antonio Bermudez Suaza, who was captured in Mexico in 2008, reports Caracol.

The assets in Bogota, Cali, Medellin and Barranquilla are valued at $150 million and were taken following information was provided by Mexican and U.S.authorities.

The properties included one in Llano Grande, where the Colombian football teamed trained, a 1500 hectare farm in Antioquia, and luxury shopping malls.

Four aeroplanes belonging to the drug lord were also seized by Colombian authorities.
