Police capture alleged Office of Envigado boss

Police announced Monday the capture of ‘Valenciano’s’ alleged right hand man, supposed leader of a gang linked to Medellin’s drug trafficking Office of Envigado.

According to the police reports, they have captured a man, alias ‘Cesarin’, who is believed to be the leader of an illegal gang of drug traffickers in the department of Antioquia and the second in command to ‘Valenciano’ (one of the Office of Envigado’s kingpins).

Reports state that ‘Cesarin’ is linked to hundreds of homicides, including the murders of various Medellin college students, reported new site Caracol on Monday.

Authorities assert that the Office of Envigado are contributing to the dramatic increase in insecurity throughout Medellin as well as the city’s escalating homicide rate.
