Bogota mayor faces 60% disapproval rating: Poll

Bogota mayor Gustavo Petro can apparently count on the approval of 38% of 110% of the inhabitants of Colombia’s capital, a bizarre poll released Tuesday said.

According to the poll carried out by pollster Cifras & Conceptas, Bogota citizens are primarily concerned about mobility, security, road infrastructure, corruption and unemployment — Bogota showed an increase in unemployment while Colombia in general saw a sharp decrease.

The poll was carried out among 495 persons, 66% of which belonging to the middle and upper class. According to a 2010 government cencus, less than 15% of the capital’s inhabitants belong to these social classes. The magic extra ten per cent  of the population was unexplained.
